Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project by the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 18 March 1988. Combs describes her early family life in St. Louis, Missouri. She talks about her two marriages and divorces. She discusses her conversion to the Mormon Church, its effects on her life and family, and her experiences as a member of that church.
